Fantasmata
FANTASMATA
Eleusis Terracotta Army — Eleusis European Capital of Culture
2024
Fantasmata is a 16-channel, site-specific acoustic installation that accompanies the exhibition Mystery 111 Eleusis Terracotta Army. The work is based on field recordings collected in factories and other sites of labour in Elefsina and the wider Thriasian Plain. Sounds of machinery, tools, industrial processes, and working environments are composed into a multi-layered soundscape that reflects the material conditions and rhythms of manual labour in the area.
Developed in dialogue with Juan Esteban Sandoval’s large-scale installation of terracotta helmets, Fantasmata acts as an aural portrait of Elefsina. By incorporating recordings from both active and abandoned sites, the work situates labour within overlapping temporalities: the enduring presence of work, the lingering traces of what has disappeared, and the echoes of ongoing transformation. The piece unfolds as a reflection on presence and absence, capturing the imprint of human labour in space and time. The factory is experienced not simply as a location, but as a living archive of gestures, movements, and vibrations.
Attowatt
Installation
AttoWatt is an installation, made up of long vertical metal bars and neon tubes. Each bar is a vertical set of rungs made of neon tubes forming the shape of a ladder. The neon lights generate sound by producing sound waves in a broad range of frequencies, just as it produces light. The neon lights are individually triggered to create vivid patterns of light.
Every minute, the audience is able to see volumes made of lights in movement in the centre of the installation. Light and sound are travelling from rung to rung simultaneously from each piece all around the installation with fast velocity creating various forms made of electricity within space.
In “AttoWatt” installation, light and sound are regarded as an energetic phenomenon, surrounding the audience, as it enacts energetic transformations through its movements, which resonate with them.
Bauhaus Im Haus – Closing Party
BAUHAUS OPEN HAUS - CLOSING PARTY
με τον τίτλο Bauhaus im Haus - Bauhaus Open House.

Acoustic Cameras
ACOUSTIC CAMERAS
projet d’annexion sonore
23.09.17 – 23.12.17

Netting The Work - ZK/U
In the context of the MPA-B Anthology
(The closing edition of the Month of Performance Art Berlin)
ZK/U Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik - 6th of May 2015.
NETTING THE WORK is a platform aiming to explore the links between performance, the everyday and the human flows under the prism of transition and displacement. It is a project that focuses on challenging social and artistic topics by exploring their connotations in different countries, platforms and Performance Festivals around Europe. Considering that performance has become a central lens for understanding a multiplicity of cultural phenomena, the platform attempts to critically observe diverse contemporary circumstances through artistic representations, as well as regulating dominant and hierarchical cultural schemes in different spaces and social realities.
Through the practice of displacement, Netting the Work initiates connections and discourses in the field of Performance art, seeking to capture a crucial turning point: That of the constant movement in a constantly ever-changing society.
